Passover

Plan created for the Llandudno Hebrew Congregation in 1946
The holiday of Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) is perhaps one of the most central to Jewish life and history.
This year it is celebrated between Saturday 12 April and Saturday 20 April. Although fixed in the Jewish calendar, the festival’s exact date varies as Jewish holidays are based on the lunar year.
Amongst its collection, Conwy Archives (Conwy Culture | Archives) has a plan created for the Llandudno Hebrew Congregation in 1946 by Mostyn Estates. It shows the proposed alteration for the building which was then known as Red Court and is now the Chabad Retreat Centre.
