Terms and Conditions

If for any reason you are unable to attend, please inform your Manager and the relevant Training Office(r) as soon as possible.

• If you do not attend this course and no other name is put forward to attend, you will be charged £50.00 non-attendance charge.
  
  
• This applies to both independent sector and in-house.
  
  
• Please note 10 days notification of non-attendance is required in writing either via e-mail or sent in the post.
  
  
• We do not accept Verbal cancellations.
  
  
• Name changes will be accepted up until 10 days prior to event date.
  
  
• The only exceptions to this policy are;
  • Illness
  • Bereavement
  • Attendance at court in a professional capacity
  • Special leave

The charges will be as follows

• External courses will be charged at the full amount. If the course is cancelled within the training provider's specified time limit for cancellation then no charge will be made. If a cancellation fee is charged by the training provider this amount will be charged.
  
  
• Internal courses will be charged at £50 per person unless cancelled with 10 working days notice If another member of staff attends in place of the person originally booked on the course there will be no charge.
  
  
• Courses leading to a qualification e.g NVQ, ASW, DIPSW were staff fail to attend lectures/fail to complete the course costs will be worked out on an individual basis.
  
  
• Staff need to be aware that it is their responsibility to sign the course attendance sheet as this is the method that is used to check who has attended/not attended each course and consequently a charge for non attendance.

In the event of any disagreement over charges then the Training Manager can be contacted.

Please ensure that you complete an evaluation form at the end of your training event and return to your designated Training Office(r) on the day of the event, or, within one week of the event to SC Workforce Training Team, Social Services, Coed Pella, Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, LL29 7AZ
