CareTutor/BVS have developed modules and courses that are tailored to the Care Sector.
There are 2 dementia modules that the Workforce Service can facilitate for you and your staff.
Dementia Care 1: Understanding Dementia
Dementia Care 1: Understanding Dementia module details
- Course aims and objectives: This course focuses on the physical condition of dementia and how it affects the person. It explores the myths and stereotypes and will enable you to consider how these can influence the quality of care given.
- Duration of course: 50 minutes including assessment quiz
Viewed with Dementia Care 2: Person Centred Dementia Care, these will cover all dementia requirements of the All Wales Induction Framework for Health and Social Care.
Dementia Care 2: Person Centred Dementia Care
Dementia Care 2: Person Centred Dementia Care module details
- Course aims and objectives:This course introduces the Person Centred qualities that should reflect in your day-to-day practice, and how Person Centred values and modified techniques can improve your ability to provide positive, responsive and supportive Dementia care
- Duration of course: 1 hour including assessment quiz
Viewed with Dementia Care 1: Understanding Dementia, these will cover all Dementia requirements of the All Wales Induction Framework for Health & Social Care.
