Targeted Services: Business & Transformation, Older People & HSW, Community Wellbeing, Quality Standards, Disability Team, Vulnerable People Team, Family Support & Intervention, Youth Justice Service, Children Looked After, Foster Carers, Commissioned Services (PIVs)
Target Group: Staff who directly support people with learning disabilities, Managers of support and care services, statutory or third sector Professionals, parent carers, advocates, housing support professionals and other interested individuals who wish to learn more about the concept, principles and methods of using the tools.

Course aims and objectives:

Raise awareness of person centred approachesand help people to understand how and when to use person centred tools effectively.

The session will look at:  Why being person centred is important, including identifying and addressing attitudes & values that can have a negative impact on a person’s life.
