Course aims and objectives:
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand what is meant by reflective practice in social work.
- Understand why reflective practice is important in contemporary social work.
- Have knowledge of different theories and models of reflection.
- Be able to use a range of reflective models to enhance reflection.
- Understand the barriers to reflective practice and how to overcome them.
- Use reflective practice techniques to critically analyse information, construct hypotheses to inform decision making and planning.
- Be able to analyse information from assessments to inform planning.
