Course aims and objectives

Informal 2 hour sessions to educate and build confidence in participants on issues around internet safety and protecting children and young people from abuse online, with information tailored to the needs of children with additional needs. 

Session Content includes:

  • Discussion about the positive and negative uses of the internet
  • How people use the internet to abuse children
  • Issues around online grooming, sexting, cyberbullying and viewing illegal images of children
  • Positive preventative actions to take to protect children from online abuse.
