Recycling Calendars

This year, we are not sending recycling calendars through the post.

There are a few ways you can keep up with your collection dates.

Download the Conwy app: You’ll get a reminder every week which bins to put out www.conwy.gov.uk/conwyapp You can also use the app to see upcoming collections, order new containers or report a missed collection.

Visit our website: You can see your next 4 collections and download your calendar on our Check My Collection Day webpage Check my collection day - Conwy County Borough Council

Get a printed copy: You can print a copy of your calendar from our website at home, at your local library, or at our Coed Pella offices. Or call us on 01492 575337 for assistance.

New calendars (for 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025) will be available on our website from 25 November 2024.

Why have you stopped printing and posting calendars?
In previous years we have printed and posted calendars to more than 55,000 addresses in Conwy. This costs tens of thousands of pounds, which could be better used on other services we provide.

We know that more than 14,500 people already use the Conwy waste app to get reminders about their collections, and don’t want or need a printed calendar. 54,447 people used the Check My Collection page on our website in the last 12 months.

Why did you send a leaflet to tell us you weren’t sending a calendar? Couldn’t you just have sent a calendar instead?
It was important to us to make sure that every household knows about this change. The information leaflet was delivered alongside the new cardboard recycling bag, so it didn’t cost us anything in postage. There are 60 different versions of the recycling calendars, which have to be individually printed and matched with specific addresses then posted out – this costs significantly more money to do.

How will I find out about Christmas collections?
Changes to collection days over Christmas and New Year are already included in the calendar. So you can rely on your app reminders or check online. We also publicise Christmas date changes through the local press and on social media.

When is the new calendar available?
New calendars (for 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2025) will be available on our website from 25 November 2024.
