Course details

This is a two day course and both days need to be attended in full.
Course aims and objectives
This course is aimed at new starters working within a social care setting.
Course content:
- The Law and legal implication of moving and handling of people.
- Risk assessment of situations, equipment and people.
- How to move and handle a person in various situations.
- To provide knowledge on best practice when moving and handling a person.
- To consider equipment suitable for the individual and how to inspect equipment e.g. slings, stand aids, hoists, beds.
