The Great Orme Tramway – please keep off the tracks

The Great Orme Tramway will reopen on 27 March 2025 and will run 7 days a week until early November.

With public safety our highest priority and over 40 trams a day travelling the route up the Orme, Tramway Manager, Luke Stevenson, asks that motorists take note of the access restrictions along Old Road.

Drivers should take extra care, and adhere to the Highway Code, when negotiating the crossing at black gate junction on the lower section and at Church Road on the upper section.

Past experience shows that some individuals disregard the Highway Code, which can lead to vehicles coming into conflict with the tram; it also sets a bad example to drivers unfamiliar with the area.

Thank you for your cooperation, drive carefully and stay safe.
