Roadworks – Llandudno Junction Flyover to Conwy

Summary (optional)
start content

The Llandudno Junction flyover from the Weekly News roundabout to Conwy town needs refurbishing, to replace the waterproofing, movement joints and drainage.

This is a significant project which will be done over two years. This year’s work is being done in two phases to avoid disruption in July and August, and to allow traffic, including buses, to continue to use the flyover into Conwy.

This first period of work will finish by 23 June, with the second period starting in September. The work needs to be done during dry weather, so cannot be completed in late autumn or winter. We are aiming to carry out the work 7 days a week with some overnight work, to get the work done as quickly as possible.

We understand that the bridge is a main route into Conwy. It’s because this is a key route that the work is so important, to keep the bridge safe and open for years to come. The bridge was last closed for major work in 1995.  We apologise for the inconvenience caused as we carry out this essential work.

This proposal can be done after the roadworks have finished – as trade figures will need to reflect the impact throughout the duration of the roadworks, but must be submitted by 31 March 2023.

If you wish to lodge a Proposal please click here to find your premises. Click on ‘present valuation’, ‘get help with this valuation’, ‘I think my valuation is wrong’ to enter your details.
