Street Collection Permit

Anyone wishing to collect money or sell articles for charity or other purposes in the street must apply for a Street Collection Permit.

How to Apply

All applications must be made by completing the Application for Street Collection Permit, no less than one month before the collection is to be held. In special circumstances, the authority may reduce this timescale. 

Permission must be sort from the landowner and written permission must be submitted with the application.

Fees

No Fee is Payable for Street Collections Permit.

Eligibility

Comply with the Street Collection Regulations

Collections must only be made in the area agreed by the authority and only on the day/s permitted.

No person under the age of sixteen will be permitted to act as a collector. All collection boxes must be sealed and must display the name of the charity or the fund in a prominent position.

Once the collection has taken place, a statement of return must be forwarded to the licensing division within one month. A qualified accountant or an independent person acceptable to the division must complete this.
