Introduction:

The Council, specifically Funding & Governance, on behalf of the UK Government and Gwynedd County Council (as the UKSPF Lead Authority in North Wales), will be administering the Conwy UK Shared Prosperity Key Funds 

The reason (purpose) it is necessary to process your personal data is:

The Council will use your information to assess Conwy UKSPF Key Fund grant applications and share your information with UK Government, Welsh Government, Gwynedd County Council (as the UKSPF Lead Authority in North Wales), 3rd Sector Organisations and any other relevant organisations, depending on the application.

The Council will also use your information during the administration of the Conwy UKSPF Key Fund and to monitor and evaluate your project.

The information we hold and process for Conwy UKSPF Key Fund applications will typically include, but not limited to:

  • name
  • address
  • contact details
  • information relating to the applicant organisation, e.g. financial information

The Council will use your information for decision making and this will determine whether or not your grant application will be successful.  The Council will also use your information whilst the project is being implemented, for administration, monitoring and evaluating the progress of your project.

Conwy County Borough Council use a variety of different systems to store and process your data, some of these are hosted internally, whereas others are hosted by 3rd party organisations on cloud based hosting within the European Economic Area (EEA)

How long your data will be held for:

We will retain your personal information for 10 Years from the end of the Funding Programme. 

Who your data may be shared with:

Your personal information may be shared within Conwy County Borough Council or with external partners and agencies involved in delivering services on our behalf.  They will only have access to your information if it is needed to provide you with a service.

The Council may also provide personal information to third parties, but only where it is necessary, either to comply with the law or where permitted under Data Protection legislation. Examples of third parties who we may share your information with include (but are not limited to):

  • UK Government
  • Welsh Government
  • Gwynedd County Council as the UKSPF Lead Authority in North Wales
  • 3rd Sector Organisations
  • and any other relevant organisations


If your personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for any reason we will ensure that safeguards are in place to protect it to at least the same standard applied within the EEA.
