The government of the United Kingdom undertakes a count of its population every ten years.  This Census identifies the key characteristics of the population (age, sex, culture, health and so on), households, working patterns, and also some information about housing.

Summary data from 2011 Census is available in these pages for Conwy, and for the wards and community council areas within the County Borough.

Data from the 2001 Census are also available, and we also have 1991 Census area profiles.

There is also some information about data from earlier Census' in the section Census for other years.

These pages do not contain details from individual Census forms, as these are confidential for 100 years. 1911 is the most recent Census for which individual forms are available, and the section Census for other years gives details of how you can access this information.

Data can also be found on the Office for National Statistics Census website.
