I started working as a relief residential worker for Glan Yr Afon, which is a home for children. In five years, I’ve progressed from relief to Deputy Manager of Bwythyn y Ddol, which is a brand new assessment and intervention residential centre. The skills and experience I developed in the relief role led to me to challenge myself and continue my professional development, and Conwy actively encouraged and supported me to do this.
