If the birth occurred in the county of Conwy, you can purchase a copy of the birth certificate from the Llandudno Register Office.
If the birth was registered elsewhere, contact the register office in the district where the person was born. Find a register office.
Types of birth certificate
Birth certificate (full):
- Information on the certificate: name of the district where the birth took place, date and place of birth, name, sex, parents names, place of birth, address and occupation.
- Required for: applying for UK passport.
Birth certificate (short):
- Information on the certificate: name, sex, date of birth and district of birth
- Required for: applying for child benefit
