Our 45 mile long coastline provides plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
Dogs are welcome on our beaches, but there are a small number of areas where dogs are not allowed. We also put restrictions in place in some areas of beach during the busy summer months.
There are signs and maps on the beach to show where dogs are banned, or must be kept on a lead for all or part of the year.
If there are no restrictions on the beach, you are free to take your dog wherever you wish. But remember to clean up after your dog.
