This attractive woodland lies between Bodlondeb Park and the southern bank of the Conwy Estuary. There are very good footpath links from the town and also numerous footpaths through the woods. Breaks in the canopy on the north eastern side of the wood provide you spectacular views over the estuary and out to sea towards the Great Orme.

Bodlondeb (meaning contentment) is a 7.6 ha area of mixed woodland lying on acidic rock. Native oak, birch and ash are present but in the past there has been extensive planting of beech, scots pine and evergreen oak. Sycamore is abundant in the wood with cherry and yew also growing. Within the woods is an unusual feature, a holly alley.
The wood is home to a variety of mammals, birds and butterflies, including:
- Grey squirrels
- Foxes
- Buzzards
- Sparrow hawks
- Nuthatch
- Jay
- Common blue, speckled wood and occasionally painted lady butterflies
Work programmes for the management of this site are drawn up annually and carried out by the warden, student placement and voluntary wardens.
