Fancy a walk in a quieter area? The Hiraethog Trail is in the south of Conwy County (near Pentrefoelas and Cerrigydrudion), where villages and farm land rise to moorland and over the Denbighshire.
You could take the challenge and walk the whole linear route from Pentrefoelas in Conwy to Denbigh/ Bodfari in Denbighshire. Or walk the shorter circular routes from the different villages.

What kind of walk is it?
- Distance: The network consists of a linear 50+ mile route, together with six shorter circular routes which can each be walked individually
- Dogs: Dogs should be kept on a lead. You will pass livestock. This is an agricultural area
- Refreshments: Available in local shops and pubs
- Walk grading: easy, moderate and strenuous depending on location, distance and terrain of the walk you choose
- Map: If you want to purchase a map that covers this route, you will need the Explorer OL18. You can visit the Ordnance Survey website for more information or to purchase your map, or alternatively, these maps are widely available to purchase on the high street. You can download a route card for this walk below, but we always suggest you take an OS map in addition to any leaflet.
