We are planning to upgrade Tan y Fron play area in Deganwy.
Where is the funding coming from?
The upgrades will be paid for by the developer’s contribution from the Pentywyn Road estate. This is often known as Section 106 funding.
Why does the play area need upgrading?
- Some of the equipment and safety surfacing is old or worn out and needs replacing
- Local residents have asked for more play provision, especially for younger children
- There are limited inclusive play opportunities in the play area at the moment
What equipment is staying?
- The large junior climbing frame, see-saw and spinning pole
- The basket swing, which will have new safety surfacing
What’s new?
There are 5 suggested designs for the upgrade. Elements from any of the options can be included in the final design. We’d like to know your preferences for the theme, layout, equipment and age range for the play area.
We will use this feedback to finalise the design.
