Does my organisation qualify?

Organisational badges are issued to organisations with vehicles that carry disabled people who would themselves be eligible for a badge.

Your organisation can apply if you have vehicles licensed under Disabled Passenger Vehicle (DPV) taxation class

The organisation’s Manager or Deputy Manager should apply online via the GOV.UK website

If there are relatively few people in your organisation who meet the eligibility criteria for a badge, it is better for the disabled people themselves to apply for badges instead. This allows them to use their badge in any vehicle they are travelling in. In all circumstances, badges will be issued to the organisation or department and not to named individuals.

It is unlikely that taxi or private hire operators and community transport operators will qualify for an organisational Blue Badge, as they are not usually concerned with the care of disabled people who would meet the eligibility criteria.

To process your application we will need:

  • a copy of the Tax Exemption regarding Disabled Passenger Vehicle (DPV) or letter of confirmation from DVLA (if applicable)
  • Copy of company logo (will be put on the badge)
  • £10.00 administration fee – this non refundable
