Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health

Aim: The Foster Carer/Social Worker will be able to describe what they will do to support children and young people facing mental health issues.

• Increase knowledge of specific mental health topics
• Understand the role of the foster carer in promoting the mental health and well-being of children in their care
• Gain awareness of the different types of support available for children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties
