Course aims and objectives
• Develop an understanding of the Mental Capacity Act
• Identify the 5 principles of the Act
• Explain how the Act works
• Understand how capacity is assessed
• Explore best-interest decisions
• Understand the definition of Deprivation of Liberty
• Overview of Liberty Protection Safeguards
