Course aims and objectives

Informal 2 hour sessions to raise awareness and information for professionals on the facts around child sexual abuse and our responsibility to prevent it, with information tailored to the needs of children with additional needs.
Session Content includes:

  • Understanding abuser behaviour
  • How and why people sexual abuse children
  • Understanding the greater vulnerability of children with additional needs
  • The barrier to identifying harmful behaviour and how to overcome them
  • Positive actions adults can take to prevent child sexual abuse within a professional capacity working with children and young people or families
