Budget 2025-2026

Conwy County Borough Council is inviting residents to take part in the Budget 2025/26 survey.

Councils across the UK continue to face rising costs and increased demands on services. To continue delivering essential services, including waste collection, education, social care, libraries, theatres, and leisure centres, Conwy County Borough Council will need to look at bridging the funding gap in 2025/26.

To manage this challenge, the Council must make every effort to use its resources efficiently, this may mean a reduction in the level of services being delivered.

Council Leader, Cllr Charlie McCoubrey, said: “The situation for Local Authorities in the UK continues to be tough and Conwy is not immune to these pressures.

“Your feedback is hugely important in shaping next year’s budget to align with our communities priorities.

“Once again, I’d urge everyone who lives or works in Conwy to take a look at the information we’ve put together about the financial situation, and let us know which services are most important to you and your local community.”

The full details and the survey are available on the Conwy website at: www.conwy.gov.uk/budget2025

If you’re not online you can get a paper copy at Coed Pella or at your local library.

Please submit your feedback by 17 January 2025.

The results will be presented to councillors next month to help inform their budget setting discussions.
