North Wales Fire and Rescue Service visit Llandudno Youth Club
Llandudno Youth Club had the opportunity to speak to crew members and learn about the equipment and procedures when North Wales Fire and Rescue Service visited recently.
Tommy Lyness, Youth Worker said “The crew from the Fire Service made a big impact on members of the Llandudno Youth Club. The young people were able to ask questions, find out about a career in the fire service and explore the fire engine. We’re very grateful to the crew and we’re looking to continue to work closely with the emergency services to deliver prevention information to young people.”
Thirty eight young people from Youth Club took part in the session.
Jo Trafford, Apprentice Fire Fighter, said “The group were very engaged and asked lots of inquisitive questions. I’m pleased we were able to show them around the fire engine and discuss the consequences of arson and hoax calls, as well as talking to them about fire safety in the home.”
