Specialist street cleaning
We have started work on specialist street cleaning around the county, with funding from UK Government.
Our local contractor is using high-pressure scrubbers, jet washers and environmentally friendly cleaning agents to deep-clean streets in Llanwrst, Abergele, Kinmel Bay, Towyn and Llandudno Junction (already complete), and Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Old Colwyn, Rhos on Sea and Llandudno. The work will be ongoing until early December.
Parked cars
If your street is scheduled for cleaning, please do not park your vehicle in this area. Vehicles left in cleaning zones are left at the owner’s risk. Our contractors cannot guarantee that your vehicle will not be exposed to cleaning products, debris or water during the process.
Disruption
The work is carried out in the evening and at night from 6pm to 4am, when there is less traffic on the roads. We are sorry for any noise disruption from the cleaning operations. This is a temporary inconvenience which will result in cleaner streets.
