Youth Service participants put safeguarding in the picture
Young people who attend Conwy Youth Service sessions have been focussing on marking Safeguarding week (13-17 November). They were asked to submit a piece of artwork around the theme of ‘What makes me feel safe’.
The works were judged by Cllr Julie Fallon, Cabinet Member for Education who is responsible for the Youth Service, Cllr Hannah Fleet and Cllr Elizabeth Roberts, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Safeguarding.
The judges were impressed with all the entries received and chose Bella Lehart from Peulwys youth club as the overall winner. Amy Woodbridge from Kinmel Bay youth club was awarded 2nd prize and Lily Gill who attends Kinmel Bay youth club came 3rd.
These top three submissions will be created into digital format and displayed in various public access buildings within Conwy County Borough Council.
