As a resident in the area you will likely be aware of issues of anti-social behaviour which surround youths congregating and causing anti-social behaviour.
North Wales Police, Conwy County Borough Council and partner agencies have tried over the years to find a solution to this problem to alleviate the disturbance and detrimental effect on the quality of life of residents.
In August 2017 two Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) were introduced under the Anti-social Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014 to try and tackle the issues with youths in the area. PSPOs are valid for 3 years but can be extended.
It has been agreed with North Wales Police that there is a continuing need for the Orders to remain in force in the area and they have therefore been extended for a further 3 years until August 2026.
A breach is a criminal offence and is dealt with by way of Fixed Penalty Notice or prosecution through the Magistrates’ Court.
