Cae Derw was awarded a Green Flag in 2011 for being a sizeable, high quality urban park, offering a range of opportunities for play and recreation.

  • Location - Cae Derw, Llandudno Junction
  • Facilities - Sensory garden, sculptures, children and toddlers play area, sports pitches and a dedicated dog walking area.

Cae Derw was the sixth park in Conwy County to apply for Green Flag status. It is a vitally important green space within the Llandudno Junction community, providing essential free recreation and enhancing the local environmental quality. Development of the site between 2008 and 2010 included the planting of over 3,500 evergreen and deciduous shrubs, hedging and perennial herbs. Despite the recent park improvements this site is very much in its infancy, making it a demanding but exciting entry for the Green Flag Award.
