Cycling is one of the best ways of getting to see Conwy's superb coastline and wonderful attractions, whilst also staying healthy and helping the environment.
Getting around on your bike
The majority of routes in Conwy are traffic-free paths, providing ideal opportunities for new and novice cyclists as well as committed enthusiasts. Most of the routes also provide excellent facilities for walkers, wheelchair or mobility buggy users.
Sustrans, a UK charity who work with families, communities, policy-makers, and a number of partner organisations have introduced The National Cycle Network. This includes a route along the North Wales Coast (National Route 5) which links Rhyl, Kinmel Bay, Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Rhos on Sea, Llandudno and Conwy.

Bikeability
Bikeability is the National Standard Cycle Training that's delivered throughout the county of Conwy. Level 1 is achieved on the playground and covers basic manoeuvres, and Level 2 on the roadside. The training is done over 6 to 8 hours and is delivered by the County's qualified instructors from Leisure Services who work in partnership with the Road Safety Section. We also offer Level 3 for secondary school children and adults. If you want any advice on Bikeability training contact the Road Safety Section on 01492 575337 or email roadsafety@conwy.gov.uk
