The County Borough of Conwy (Various Roads Penmaenmawr) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023 - Part 1


The Conwy County Borough Council made the above-named Order under Sections 1 and 2 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below.  The proposals relating to Water Street and Cwmlws Lane have been deferred.

A copy of the Order and plan, which will come into operation on 22 December 2023 may be examined on the Council website.   If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for this purpose

Schedule - No waiting at any time

Conwy Old Road

  • North Side: from a point 15 metres east of its junction with Treforris Road for a distance of 9 metres in a easterly direction.

Treforris Road

  • South side: from a point 50 metres west of its junction with Cae Cyd Road for a distance of 70 metres in an easterly direction

Graiglwyd Road

  • Both sides: from a point 125 metres north east of its junction with Groesffordd Lane for a distance of 25 metres in a north easterly direction
  • South west side: from a point 15 metres west of its junction with Alexandra Park for a distance of 12 metres in a easterly direction

Ysguborwen Road

  • North side: from a point 10 metres from its junction with Groesffordd to a point 14 metres from its junction with Treforris Road.

Treforris Road

  • East side:  From its junction with Ysguborwen Road for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction  From its junction with Gwynan Park for a distance of 18 metres in a northerly direction

Gwynan Park

  • North side; from its junction with Treforris Road for a distance of 3 metres in a westerly direction

Brynmor Terrace

  • Both sides: from its junction with Station Road West for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction

Station Road West

  • East side: from a point 10 metres north of its junction with Brynmor Terrace for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction

Esplanade service road

  • Both Sides: from its western access with Esplanade to its eastern access with Esplanade

David’s Lane

  • Both Sides: from its junction with Erasmus Street for a distance of 21 metres in a southerly direction

Old Mill Road

  • East Side: from a point 13metres north of its junction with Clos Hen Felin for a distance of 26 metres in a south easterly direction

Derwen Road

  • Both sides: from its junction with Water Street for a distance of 14 metres in a north easterly direction

Brynmor Terrace

  • North-eastern side; from a point 10 metres northwest of Bangor Road for a distance of 6.6 metres in a north-westerly direction.

St John’s Park East

  • Both sides: from its junction with High Street for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction

High Street

  • North-eastern side; from a point 17 metres west of St John’s Park East for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

Cemlyn Park

  • Both Sides; from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction

Church Road

  • North-eastern side; from its junction with Cemlyn Park for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly and south easterly direction.

Derwen Road

  • West side: from its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of 11 metres in a southerly direction
  • East side:  from its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction

Conwy Old Road

  • North Side: 14 metres from its junction with Graiglwyd Road for a distance of 8 meters in a north easterly direction.South side: from its junction with Graiglwyd Road for a distance of 22 metres in a north easterly direction.

Graiglwyd Road

  • Both Sides: from its junction with Conwy Old Road for a distance of 12 meters in a south easterly direction.
