Course aims and objectives:
Aim: The foster carer will be able to recognise and describe the effects of domestic abuse to support the child or young person appropriately.
Learning outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of what domestic abuse is and the effects on individuals
- Explore the law in relation to domestic abuse
- Gain an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and how to support them to overcome this trauma
