Subsistence Payment
Guests are entitled to receive an arrival payment of £200 as an emergency income for any essentials they need. This is a one-off payment available to children and adults. Conwy County Borough Council will issue this payment.
Once you’ve been approved as a sponsor and your guests have arrived, more information and an application form for the payment will be in the letter you receive from Conwy County Borough Council.
How do I open a back account?
It is important for people seeking sanctuary from Ukraine to open a bank account as soon as possible. There are a range of banks to choose from, including online-only providers.
To open a bank account, you’ll need to show a form of identification such as a passport or a driver’s licence or a recognised identity card as well as proof of address.
