Over 50s daytime disco
Daytime Discos are proving to be a hit across the UK, and Conwy’s Wellbeing Team are joining the party with an event in Colwyn Bay next month.
The Over 50s Daytime Disco will take place at Sheldon’s Café in Colwyn Bay from 2pm to 5pm on Thursday 18th July.
The event is for adults over 50 living in Conwy County Borough to enjoy an afternoon of music from the 60s, 70s & 80s.
Lydia Mottershead from the Wellbeing Team at Conwy County Borough Council, said, “Age UK have set up a few of these types of events in various areas of England and they’ve proved to be very popular and seem to continue to expand into new areas, so we’re hoping it will be a success.
“Entry to this first event in Colwyn Bay is free of charge, you just need to book your space in advance and then pay for your refreshments on the day. If it’s popular, we’ll arrange more with an entry charge in future.”
