The finals were broadcast on 12 May, when Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion were crowned as winners of the Children’s Choir category with Côr Ifor Bach winning the Côr Cymru trophy.

Cllr Julie Fallon, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Education said, “I’d like to congratulate the children for doing so well in Cor Cymru. The standard of this national competition is really high, and to reach the semi-final is testament to their hard work and dedication, and that of their teachers.”

Sue Williams, Headteacher of Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, said, “Everyone at the school, and in our wider community, is delighted by the success of the choir in the Côr Cymru competition. The learners in the choir had the most tremendous experience which, I am sure, they will always remember fondly. We are so proud of the children and what they have achieved. We are also very grateful to the staff who helped them and the parents and carers for their support.”

Hefin Owen, series producer for Rondo Media said: "One of the competition's aims is to give Welsh choirs the opportunity to take part in an international standard competition with experts from around the world invited to judge. The series has shown the excellent standard of choral singing we have here in Wales."
