- Do you care passionately about your local community?
- Is there something you want to change?
- Are you ready to take challenging decisions?
Why not stand for what you care about and become a local councillor?
Councillors are elected by people in their community to represent them and make decisions on their behalf. Being a councillor is rewarding, challenging and enjoyable and you can change people’s lives for the better. It’s important that councillors are like the people who elect them so that they can represent all the different views in the community and take decisions that benefit everyone.
Why not view some videos and case studies of diverse councillors describing their roles and why they stood for election?
