County Borough Council

From May 2022 the number of Councillors on Conwy County Borough Council reduced from 59 to 55 Councillors representing 30 electoral wards. These changes were as a result of a recent review by the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission into the electoral arrangements within Conwy.

Depending on the size of the electoral ward there may be up to four Councillors representing that area.

Councillors have a duty to the whole county borough, but they have a special duty to the people who live in the electoral ward they were elected to represent, including the people who did not vote for them.
