The North Wales Pilgrim’s Way is a route of 135 miles, from Basingwerk Abbey to Bardsey Island. The path links ancient churches dedicated to the saints of the 6th century. It overlaps with the North Wales Path above Conwy and Penmaenmawr.
This path is managed and maintained by North Wales Pilgrim’s Way volunteers.
What kind of walk is it?
- Terrain: variable from uneven uplands to flat coast paths
- Distance: The route is about 135 miles / 218 kilometres in total length, although it is easy to plan a shorter walk utilising part of the route
- Dogs: Dogs should be kept on a lead
- Refreshments: Available in local shops and pubs
- Walk grading: easy, moderate and strenuous depending on location, distance and terrain of the walk you choose
