This 83 mile circular trail visits some of the less-frequented but beautiful parts of Snowdonia, beginning at Porth Penrhyn near Bangor and ending at Bethesda. The walk passes through through all the major mountain ranges, offering a range of experiences from mountain to forest, lake to river, from the valley to the sea.
This path is managed and maintained by volunteers and the Snowdonia Society.
What kind of walk is it?
- Terrain: variable from steep hill tracks to forest trails and country lanes
- Distance: The route is 83 miles / 134 kilometres in total length, although it is easy to plan a shorter walk utilising part of the route
- Dogs: Dogs should be kept on a lead
- Refreshments: Available in local shops and pubs
- Walk grading: easy, moderate and strenuous depending on location, distance and terrain of the walk you choose
