If someone is eligible for help, a social worker or care co-ordinator from the team will work with them and people who know them to identify their needs and how best to meet their needs. The social worker or care co-ordinator will then try to ensure they are linked up with the service that best meets their needs.

- harm minimisation
- community detoxification or in-patient detoxification unit
- titration clinic for methadone prescription
- prescribed medication maintenance
- advice on sexual health
- residential rehabilitation placements
- auricular acupuncture
