Conwy Workforce Service have invested in a wide range of on-line training courses available via CareTutor / BVS offering a flexible way of learning to your staff teams.
Online access
You can access any eLearning modules from the lists of modules available.
Staff may prefer the flexibility of undertaking the modules at times to suit themselves; please request access to these by emailing sc.training@conwy.gov.uk with person’s name, organisation name, personal email address and the title of the module(s) to be accessed.
Modules not completed within 3 months of allocation will be removed from the user.
Familiarisation sessions
Alternatively the Workforce Team can offer a one day face-to-face familiarisation session where your staff will be shown how to access the modules using iPads which will be provided, support to connect the iPads to the wifi and find and navigate to the chosen modules.
We can offer assistance in undertaking the following core competency modules during a familiarisation session:
- Develop as a worker
- Equality, diversity and inclusion
- Dignity and respect
- Effective communication 1 and 2 (which includes record keeping tips)
- Infection prevention and control
- Dementia care 1: Understanding dementia
- Dementia care 2: Personal centred dementia care
- Pressure ulcer prevention
Conditions for accessing Modules via a familiarisation session:
- If you opt for a familiarisation session; in return we will contact you and negotiate a suitable date and venue within a 3 month period. We can come to your establishment or look for a training space in Coed Pella council building in Colwyn Bay.
- We will require from you the number of staff needing to access the modules (up to a maximum of 8 per session)
- If module training is to take place at your venue please ensure that your wifi signal is robust, there is sufficient training space and the staff nominated can be released to attend on the date chosen.
