Inspection of Accounts 2023/24 – Conwy County Borough Council and Conwy Harbour

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29 to 31 of the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2004 and Regulations 21, 22 and 24 of the Accounts and Audit (Wales) Regulations 2014:

1. From Monday 16 September to Friday 11 October 2024 inclusive (except Saturdays and Sundays), any persons interested, on application to the Strategic Director - Finance and Resources, Bodlondeb, Conwy may inspect and make copies of the accounts of the above named for the year ended 31 March 2024 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto. To contact the Strategic Director – Finance & Resources, please can you email Accountancy.technical@conwy.gov.uk or telephone 01492 574000 so that we can make appropriate arrangements for inspection.

2. On or after Monday 14 October 2024 at 10.00 am until the completion of the audit, the Auditor General for Wales or his representative can be contacted via Mike Jones at 1, Capital Quarter, Tyndall Street, Cardiff, CF10 4BZ or by e-mail, Mike.Jones@audit.wales, at the request of any local government elector for the area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or his or her representative, an opportunity to question him about the accounts and any such elector or his or her representative may attend before the Auditor and make objection to any of the accounts.  No objection may be made by, or on behalf of, an elector unless the Auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and the grounds on which it was made.  Where an elector sends a notice to the Auditor he shall at the same time send a copy of the notice to Conwy County Borough Council at the address shown below.
