What they do;

Family Support & Intervention - Deal with concerns about children at risk of abuse or neglect. Work with families where a risk to the child has been identified, provide assessment and intervention from specialist teams. Where no improvement is achieved, instigation of care proceedings.


Safeguarding - Deal with reported concerns about children and adults at risk of abuse or neglect. Promote Safeguarding to CCBC staff and citizens of Conwy. Safeguard interests of Looked After Children.

Looked After Children - Accommodate, care for and look after the interests of all children who cannot live with their families for reasons such as illness, neglect or abuse.

Vulnerable People - Provide support to people who lack the mental capacity to manage their own financial and property affairs, work with people with poor mental health, and their family/Carers. Provide support to individuals who are vulnerable and/or dependant on drugs/alcohol and those who do not fit the criteria for other services. Assist Care Leavers to prepare for independence.

Youth Justice - Work in partnership with other organisations such as the Police, Probation and prison services, Social Care and Health to prevent children and young people from offending and re-offending.
