Business Policy and Performance - Supports the development of a Performance Managment culture within the Education Service and the Authority's schools
Property and Site Management - Strategic Planning and Delivery of the Authority’s School Modernisation Programme including ‘Sustainable communities for learning’ (Previously known as 21st Century Schools)
Health & Wellbeing Service - To provide healthy tasty meals to comply with the Welsh Government healthy eating in schools regulations and standards.
Healthy school program provide policies and initiatives for wellbeing in schools
Education Improvement Service - An over-arching team that works within the context of the strategic values and aims of Conwy County Council, and national requirements for the delivery of Education in order to ensure high quality education for all children and young people.
Social Inclusion Service - To provide advice and support for learners with behavioural or social emotional difficulties accessing their education, the Service drives to ensure that Conwy provides learners a safe and inclusive space to learn
Additional Learning Needs - Supports the inclusion and effective provision for children and young people in Conwy with additional learning needs.
Conwy Employment Service - A one stop shop for employability across Conwy county’ they provide community based employability support to people, aged 16 plus, who have barriers to employment or training across Conwy.
Conwy Youth Service - Community Youth work providing youth provisions within communities such as Youth clubs, projects, mobile bus, detached work, door step visits, Duke of Edinburgh.
Finance Service - A comprehensive financial, advisory, consultative and support service to schools.
Conwy Schools
Here in Conwy, we have:
- 52 Primary Schools (with 20 Welsh Medium category 1 schools)
- 7 Secondary Schools (with 1 Welsh Medium category 1 school)
- 1 Special School
- 2 Pupil Referral Units (with 1 PRU being on 3 sites)
In total, we have nearly:
16,000 learners of which 9,000 are in Primary schools and 6,500 in Secondary schools which includes over 1,000 post 16 learners.
