Enlarge the culvert and straighten the inlet
The existing watercourse runs down the bank, and spirals back into an opening in the retaining wall, and then goes back on itself under the road. The existing culvert is too small, and the awkward inlet makes it prone to flooding.
The new, larger pipe will go straight across the road, and the inlet will be straightened and will be lowered to the pipe level by a cascade.
