Trefriw flood alleviation: Coed Gwydyr south

Summary (optional)
start content

Proposed work at Coed Gwydr south

Enlarge the culvert, and a new drain in side road

The existing watercourse spills onto the side roads and runs down onto the B5106.

If we enlarged the existing watercourse through the woods we would have to cut down a lot of trees, so we will intercept the floods in the side roads and bring it down the road in a new highway drain.  We will connect it back to the watercourse where it crosses the B5106, and enlarge the pipe across the B5106.

We will come back the next year to raise the road above the Conwy flood level.
