Time: 9.30am - 13.00pm (9:15am arrival for tea/coffee and registration) 
Time: 13.00pm - 16.30pm (13.15pm arrival for tea/coffee and registration) 
Venue: Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay
Trainer: Training with Hart
Targeted Services: Community Wellbeing, Disability Team, Family Support & Intervention, Commissioned Services (PIVs), Vulnerable People Team 
Target Group: Open to anyone wishing to learn more about the subject

Course aims and objectives

Stroke Awareness Course Objectives:
• Understanding of  the definition of a Stroke
• Identify different types of stroke
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of a Stroke
• Identify the FAST test and emergency treatment of a Stroke
• Explore Stroke Medication/Treatments
• Understanding Stroke Prevention

Explore possible support for the individual, to include:
• Supporting communication
• Support with eating and drinking
• Understand the psychological impact of a Stroke.
